Fresh start for a new team!
Dividing duties between Wakayama and Fukui and contributing to society through high added-value products
In Japan, we have plants in two locations: Wakayama and Fukui. Both plants are ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified. We strive to achieve consistent quality and make our plants environmentally friendly. The two plants have distinct roles—the Wakayama Plant conducts small-scale production of a wide variety of products, while the Fukui Plant concentrates on the mass production of products for which there is high demand.
While we are always reviewing our production system in order to meet our customers’ needs to a high standard, 2019 saw us embark on particularly adventurous changes, as we reorganized and made bold capital investments. Key topics for us are the launch of the Production Technology Dept., the establishment of a small-scale plant, and the construction of a new plant in Wakayama.
Launch of the Production Technology Dept. that unites plants with R&D: Eliminating danger to create a safe and comfortable environment!
One of the key roles of a chemical manufacturer is the elimination of danger. This led us to launch the Safety Promotion Office and share information throughout our plants on the minor incidents that occur on a daily basis. We are also proactive in introducing cutting edge equipment in order to improve our safety standards.
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for both our staff and the residents who live in the vicinity of our plants, we have installed large-scale odor removal facilities. Through this, we were successful in eliminating 90% of the flammable gases that cause odor.
Improving our working environment not only boosts our productivity and quality, but also helps us secure promising talent.
In 2019, the Production Technology Dept. was formed after certain duties of the R&D Dept. were transferred to the Production Dept. This organization was set up to enable Production to resolve any issues that occur when scaling up at plants without having to hand the matter over to the R&D Dept.
A small-scale plant was completed in 2020. Working together with plants, we reviewed our methodologies and facilities from our position as a defender of manufacturing. With the expertise of our customers, we will make our production more smooth and agile and achieve results that exceed expectations. We will also work on renewing our existing facilities in stages.
